Hyderabad City Traffic Police Assisted Organ Transplant through Green Corridor- Reached 29 km in just 26 Minutes
A man in Apollo hospital, Chennai, was in a critical condition and awaited life-saving heart and lungs organ transplant. A person who is being treated at Global Hospital in Hyderabad was declared brain dead and his family members agreed to donate his organs. His heart and lungs should be transported from Hyderabad to Chennai and the medical team has planned to reach Chennai from Shamshabad Airport. Global hospital doctors in Hyderabad analyzed the situation and contacted the traffic police on Tuesday regarding Organ transportation. Immediately responding to this emergency situation, the traffic police had set up a “Green Corridor” from Lakdikapool to Shamshabad Airport. At about 2.58 pm, the medical team of doctors started from the Hospital and the traffic authorities cleared the route for the ambulance carrying harvested organs to go straight to the Shamshabad Airport. With a great support from the Traffic officials, the team of doctors reached their destination of 29 km within just 26 minutes. Doctors thanked Anil Kumar, Additional CP (traffic) for his significant support in the timely transportation of organs.
