Autos, school vans and cabs to go on strike 08-01-2019, tomorrow in Telangana
Several Auto Motor Workers’ Societies announced that they will go on strike tomorrow i.e. 8th January 2019 across the Telangana state protesting against the introduction of the MV Act amendment bill. Auto’s, school vans and cabs will participate in this one day bandh. Telangana Auto Drivers Union JAC leader Mohd Amanullah Khan, AITUC leader B. Venkatesham, T.R.S.K.V leader V. Maraiah, INTUC delegate G. Mallesh Gowd, IFTU leader A. Narender and Dasari Ramesh participated in the press conference held at News Centre in Hyderguda on Sunday, 06-01-2019. Speaking on this occasion, they expressed concern that the central government is forcing the MV Act amendment bill. On this amendment, the Unions announced bandh on 8th of this month and to go on protest rallies on 9th and demanded to withdraw the bill immediately. They also requested to form the Auto Drivers ‘Welfare Board in order to avoid private financier’s exploitations.
