Entertainment on the go… South Central Railway introduced “Magic box, Wi-Fi infotainment” on Kachiguda- Bengaluru Express
The South Central Railway has come forward with another new amazing facility to enhance passengers comfort. Railway officials who have impressed with Wi-Fi, television broadcasts and other technologies in the stations are now introducing offline multimedia services. On this regard, they launched the ‘Magic Box’ Wi-Fi Infotainment System. On a trial basis, officials have installed magic boxes in the five AC coaches in the Train number 12785 KSR Kachiguda-Bangalore Express. These magic box systems are supplied by the SR Moving Talkies Private Limited, New Delhi. So far, this Magic box system is available only at New Delhi Shatabdi Express, Mumbai Rajdhani Express and Lucknow express trains. Based on the response from the public, the officials will implement this Magic box facility in other trains.
The main motive of Magic Box
Lacks of passengers travel regularly in the trains running in the South Central Railway. In order to entertain passengers who travel long distances, the railways came up with this idea of ‘Magic Box’. Passengers while travelling in the train, can connect to the Magic Box with their respective cell or laptop’s Wi-Fi option without any use of internet and can enjoy 500 hours of entertainment packages.
Passengers can also watch movies in English, Hindi and their respective regional languages. Most of all children can also enjoy cartoons and songs. Interested passengers can even learn information about the railway and other government policies and schemes available in the Magic Box and improve their knowledge.
How to get access to a Magic Box
- To open up the Magic Box, first you need to go the settings in your Cell phones and Laptops
- Choose the Wi-Fi option and then connect to the Magic Box through your device.
- You need to go to the browser option after connecting to the Wi-Fi
- On the browser window, type the magic box.com
- To start, click on with the thumb finger
- If you want to get access for content then you need one- time registration and enjoy free Wi-Fi without internet.
