Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) is offering Metro smart Card for the convenient of commuters. These smart cards act as a virtual wallet which facilitates the seamless travelling experience. Metro passengers can purchase these Smart Cards from ticketing counters of all the Hyderabad Metro stations or even through TSavaari App. If you are purchasing smart card though TSavaari App, an extra fee of Rs.25 will be charged for the delivery of your card at your doorstep.
The cost of Metro smart card is Rs.150, where Rs.50 is taken as a security deposit and the remaining amount i.e. RS. 100 will be for your transaction. Whenever the passenger returns the card, Rs.20 will be deducted for admin fee and the remaining Rs.30 will be given back. Before the cost of the metro card was Rs.200 where Rs.100 is considered for security deposit and the remaining Rs.100 will be your actual balance. But now the Metro officials have reduced its cost to Rs.150 to ease the burden on customer’s pocket. The maximum recharge amount you can have in the card is Rs.3000/- and the validity of the smart card is 365 days.

You can directly board on Metro train without wasting your time in queues. Most importantly all the Hyderabad Metro offers and discounts will be applicable only on smart cards. Besides all these 10% discount is given on all the trips you make using a smart card.
You don’t have to wait any longer in queues at Metro station ticket counter to recharge this smart card, as it can be recharged easily through many sources like TSavaari App, Paytm, HMR passenger website and also using Add Value Machine (AVM) which is placed in the paid area on the station concourse.
To know your Hyderabad Metro Rail Smart Card balance online, you have to first register at the official portal. Soon after registration, you will receive Login ID and password using which you can log in to your account on the official portal. Now enter your smart card details i.e. the 14 digit number present on the back of the Metro smart card and click on Hyderabad Metro Card Balance Checker.
Note: If in case you lose your Metro smart card, you have to buy a new smart card and recharge it, as the balance amount in the old card will not be refunded.
