Ameerpet- HiTech city Metro route to open Today

The most awaited, Ameerpet- HiTech city metro will be officially inaugurated by Governor Shri. E.S.L. Narasimhan on 20th March 2019 at around 9:15 A.M at Ameerpet Metro station. Metro officials said that only a few senior officials would be attending the program due to the election code moment. Passengers will be allowed from 4 pm onwards. According to the orders of the Chief Secretary S.K Joshi, Hyderabad Metro Rail MD N.V.S Reddy, Hyderabad Metro Rail project Construction Company L & T Managing Director KVB Reddy inspected the Hi-tech city metro corridor.

Both the corridors which are total of 56 kilometers will be available for the commuters traveling till the high-tech city. This includes both the corridors like corridor-1 (Miyapur-LB Nagar stretch of 29 km), the corridor-3 (Nagole- Hitech City of 27 km). Hyderabad Metro is already popular as the second largest corridor in the country, i.e. 46 kilometers. Now another extra 10 km is added to the pride of Hyderabad Metro. However, just as proposed in the first phase of 72 km, another 15 km route is about to be added.

Taruni – Madhura Nagar Metro Station

In between Ameerpet to Hi-tech city stretch, Madhura Nagar metro station has a lot of priority. This particular Metro station is constructed in 2 acres of land which belongs to a state home. “All the Metro employees working in this particular station are women”- said the officials. Within the empty area below the station, the officials are going to open an exhibition (Like Numaish) to provide self employment option for women and ladies.

Ticketing and platform in the same floor @ Jubilee Hills Check post Metro station

Metro station at Jubilee Hills Check post is different from other Metro stations. As the metro stretch is at the maximum height and goes through the junction, officials made few changes in the construction plan and built both Ticketing and platform on the same floor.

5 km stretch between Jubilee Hills Check Post and Hi-tech City station to follow “twin single line method”

Due to the lack of reversal facility at the end station i.e. at the Cyber towers in the Hi Tech city Metro corridor, the Metro Rail will follow the traditional railway practice “Twin Single Line Method”. This practice will be available on 5 km stretch between Jubilee Hills Check Post and Hi-tech City. The train will come to reverse on the same line on which it went

3 Metro stations did not receive approval

Currently, the train frequency among all the stations is 6 minutes. Whereas, between Ameerpet and Hi-Tech city the train frequency will be around 9-12 minutes. There is a total of eight stations on this route and only five stations are now available. The other 3 remaining stations i.e. Jubilee Hills check post, Peddammagudi and the Madhapur stations will be launched soon.

Commuters from Miyapur can reach HiTech city within an hour

IT employees living near Miyapur and Nizampet areas can reach Hi-Tech city within an hour. Till now it took around 1½ hours to reach HiTech city if you travel in a bus. If you are using for wheelers or two wheelers, it also takes 1 ½ hour to reach their destinations and the time span may even increase if you get stuck in traffic jams. But if you travel in Hyderabad Metro from Miyapur to Ameerpet it takes around 26 minutes and to take an interchange it might take another 6 extra minutes and from Ameerpet to Hi-Tech city, it takes around 20 minutes. Overall, you can reach Hi- Tech city within an hour from Ameerpet. Isn’t it a great news for all those who got tired of this city hectic traffic.

The most crucial is the Madhapur metro

Lacks of IT people can now get relieved from the city’s hectic traffic with these Metro services. As the Metro services are about to get started towards the Madhapur stretch, which is one of the biggest IT hubs in the country, many IT employees are expressing their delight. Even the Metro officials are also giving high priority to this Hi-Tech city stretch.

Hyderabad Metro Train for every 9-12 minutes between Ameerpet and HiTech city stretch 

Due to the lack of reversal option at the Hi-Tech city, officials are planning to use Twin Single Line Method. Due to which there will be changes in the frequency of Metro trains. Currently, a metro train is reaching the station for every 6 minutes, except for the Ameerpet and HiTech city stretch which might take 9-12 minutes.

MLA KTR congratulated Metro Team    

On the occasion of the grand opening of most awaited Ameerpet to Hi-tech city stretch, the working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi KTR congratulated the Metro team on Twitter. He further requested the people travelling towards Hi-Tech city to travel in Metro and to reduce the usage of bikes and cars which triggers pollution.
