Traffic restrictions on Attapur Bridge

Traffic restrictions on the Attapur Bridge for four days, except for RTC buses, other heavy vehicles are not allowed on the bridge from 12th to 15th.

The GHMC and Hyderabad Road Development Corporation officials have taken steps to repair the Attapur bridge. As the joints on the bridge were completely damaged, HRDC engineers were planning to repair the repairs. In this regard, officials announced four days of traffic restrictions and vehicles have been banned on both sides of the bridge. Only RTC buses are allowed on the bridge and other heavy vehicles are restricted.

Works from 12th Jan to 15th Jan…

The authorities are ready to start the repair of the Attapur Bridge under the guidance of Hyderabad Road Development Corporation. HRDC official E E Sardar Singh said that the works will be done four days starting from 12th (at 10.00 pm) to 15th of this month. The bridge has ten joints together on both sides, with five joints on each side. Officials also said that it will take two days to repair 5 joints of one side. The triple joints will be put on the bridge to avoid the risk. HRDC official E E Sardar Singh said that there is a huge gap in the existing joints, which is a danger, and therefore, officials are carrying out the works on an urgent basis. He further added that while doing works on one side of the bridge, the vehicle will continue to flow on the other side.

Traffic diversion towards 120 Pillar junction…

As the vehicles will be banned on the Attapur Bridge, in order to divert the traffic in other routes, the Cyberabad Traffic Additional DCP Prabhakar Rao, Shamshabad Traffic ACP Prasad, Rajendranagar Traffic Inspector Srinivas examined 120 pillar junction on Friday night. Tolichowki traffic police officers, sub-inspectors and other staff followed them.

Traffic restrictions…

Tolichowki Traffic Police Station Sub Inspector Amjad Ali said that Traffic restrictions have been imposed on Attapur Bridge between 12th and 15th of this month. He also said that these traffic restrictions were imposed on the Attapur Bridge for four days on the instructions of Goshamahal traffic sub-division ACP Ramalinga Raju. From 12th onwards, except for RTC buses, other small, heavy lorries, tippers and other vehicles are not allowed on to the bridge. Amjad Ali also said that the vehicles coming from Rajendhra Nagar will be diverted from 120 pillar towards Attapur basthi and Baapu Ghat Bridge and the vehicles coming from Rethibowli towards Attapur will be diverted from 120 pillar towards Karwaan, Purana pool, Bahadur Pura and Aramghar junction.
