Traffic Officials Conducting Seminars to students in Hyderabad

As we all know, Hyderabad city Traffic Police department is working hard and taking all the essential precautionary steps to prevent misfortunate road accidents. In this regard, now the traffic police are mainly focusing on the students. In a press conference held on Saturday at the launch of the Traffic signboards in the Traffic Control Room, Basheer Bagh, Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) said that the road accidents are mainly occurring due to rash and negligent driving. He said that losing 3 youngsters in a bike crash at Mettuguda four days ago due to this rash driving is a tragedy. He also said that they are conducting traffic and road safety awareness seminars in the colleges in order to safeguard students from dreadful road accidents. He further added that they started conducting these seminars 4 months ago, covered 545 colleges and met with 1.44 lakh students till now. They are targeting to educate 5 lakh students by the end of this current academic year. He said that they are booking cases against parents who are giving bikes and letting their minor kids drive. In order to provide more awareness to those who violate the rules of the road, Hyderabad Traffic Police are placing traffic sign boards with instructions on eight malls and multiplexes. DCP (Traffic) L S Chouhan, Additional DCP’s A. Bhaskar and P.Karunakar, ACP’s, Inspector K.V.P Raju also participated in the meeting.
